We specialise in the design, procurement, implementation, and support of corporate ICT infrastructure solutions including those delivered via the cloud.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer – Cloud to join our Hamilton based team.

About the Role

This is a full-time permanent position working largely across our Enterprise customers. This position provides technical expertise to design, implement, support and optimise cloud platforms, modern workplace technologies, identity services, security platforms and application services across Microsoft environments.

What you'll do for us

• Provide Microsoft cloud platform implementation and support services.

• Design, implement and support Microsoft 365, Azure and associated cloud services.

• Deliver identity, security and modern workplace solutions across customer environments.

• Implement and support Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender and related services.

• Deliver cloud migration, transformation and modernisation projects.

• Perform cloud assessments, platform reviews and optimisation activities.

• Implement business continuity, backup and recovery solutions for cloud workloads.

• Monitor, administer and report on cloud platform health, performance and security.

• Provide Level 3 technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.

• Develop and maintain high-quality technical documentation and implementation records.

• Contribute to solution architecture, technical standards and cloud best practices.

• Mentor team members and provide technical leadership where required.

• Ensure accurate and timely logging of activity, project time and customer updates.

What you'll bring in your Kit bag

• One major certification such as Azure Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, Microsoft 365 Administrator, Security Engineer or equivalent qualification.

• One or more Microsoft cloud certifications.

• Technical involvement in medium to large-scale cloud and modern workplace projects.

• Strong experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise cloud solutions.

• A sound understanding of the relationship between identity, security, applications, cloud infrastructure and user experience platforms.

• Proficiency across the following areas:

  • Microsoft Azure

  • Microsoft 365

  • Azure Virtual Desktop

  • Security hardening and platform governance

  • Cloud monitoring and management platforms

  • Cloud assessments, migrations and transformation programmes

  • Exchange Online

  • SharePoint Online

  • Microsoft Teams

  • Microsoft Entra ID

  • Microsoft Intune

  • Microsoft Defender Suite

  • Microsoft Copilot and AI-enabled workplace services

  • Identity and Access Management

  • Conditional Access and Zero Trust security principles

  • Backup, Recovery and Business Continuity solutions

  • PowerShell scripting and automation

• Confidence to engage with our customers and talk them through the benefits of the solutions you are recommending.

• The ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and implementation plans.

However, soft skills and a willingness to learn are more important.
