Senior Systems Engineer

Salary: AUD 110000 - 130000 per annum

A highly successful boutique consultancy is looking to hire a Senior Systems Engineer to their Managed Services team. The consultancy specialises in providing modern Microsoft solutions to a range of clients within the mid-market sector and are always working with the latest and greatest tech. The position sits as one of the most senior technical members of the team and will primarily be focused on complex escalations.

The successful candidate will ideally come from an MSP background and demonstrate a strong track record of Systems Engineering across on-premise, cloud & M365 environments. As the company continues to win business and expand, there will be a lot of opportunities for future career progression and professional development.

What you will be doing:
- Act as the final level of escalation for complex technical requests
- Demonstrate high technical skills across Cloud, Systems & Infrastructure to effectively resolve problems
- Assist other senior consultants with project implementation when required
- Mentor more junior Managed Services engineers to assist their development
- Ensure quality of documentation and knowledge based articles

What you will need to succeed:
- Previous experience in customer facing roles with MSPs / Consultancies
- Proven track record of high-level troubleshooting ( Level 3 )
- Hands on technical experience working with Systems & Servers
- Proficiency supporting M365 environments ( Intune, O365, Entra, Defender )
- Proven experience working with Security Frameworks - Essential 8, CIS, NIST
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Industry certifications highly regarded
