As a Prime Government Contractor for Navy, we are currently searching for a talented Senior Systems Engineer in Guam

About the Job

This position will be the lead for engineering, design, and technical oversight for the contract. Also this position will be primary lead the VDI, Cloud, and Network Engineering tasks.

Job Requirements

  • advanced knowledge of Navy network architecture
  • provide enterprise-level systems engineering to support the modernization and sustainment of JRM J6 infrastructure.
  • provide engineering and design support for VDI and cloud migration initiatives
  • develop system designs, configurations, and strategic plans for infrastructure upgrades in alignment with DoD and DoN directives.
  • create, maintain, and deliver all technical documentation required to achieve and sustain system Authorizations to Operate (ATO).
  • produce network topologies, data flow diagrams, and rack elevations.
  • prepare and submit all required documentation for the Fleet Readiness Control Board (FRCB) and local change management boards
  • provide technical oversight for third-party Electronic Security System (ESS) installation projects.
  • conduct technical evaluations of vendor proposals
  • monitor project execution
  • witness System Operational Verification Tests (SOVT)
  • validate all final project deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
  • provide expert-level (Tier III) troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex network and infrastructure issues escalated from other support tiers.
  • provide recommendations for permanent engineering solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain complete confidentiality and the highest ethical standards in these matters, as related to the performance of this contract.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience]
  • U.S Citizenship and a Secret Clearance is required.
  • 5+ years’ IT Infrastructure experience
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)

AND

  • CISSP, CASP+, or CISA certification
