Manages complex Server, LAN, WAN, VoIP, and wireless networks throughout the company and serves as a primary point of contact for changes on all network related systems.
Collaborates day-to-day with the IT Infrastructure Manager and Systems Administrators on hardware and software configurations, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, provisioning and Disaster Recovery testing.
Ensures system availability and reliability by monitoring system uptime, utilization and performance using the Bank's in-house monitoring tools OpManager, Splunk etc.
Administers various devices and services including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and Wi-Fi.
Consults with business line management to define needs, boundaries and priorities of tentative projects including equipment acquisitions and specific information requirements. Coordinates the business requirements with division/department management and other IT departments to determine the most cost-effective solution.
Maintains systems software through upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
Proactively identifies opportunities for hardware and software improvements. Researches and evaluates new technologies and the viability to provide enhancements to current environment.
Provides level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues. Audits network production systems for security, capacity, and usage.
Works within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure.
Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and resolves network systems problems to minimize network down time.
Defines, develops, implements, and maintains the process involved in the administration, maintenance, security, backup, and recovery of network systems.
Establishes and maintains vendor relations to deploy and manage network operations.
Documents policies, processes and procedures of new and existing duties.
Works with internal customers and other personnel within the Bank for problem resolution.
