The EDI Technical Support Specialist will contribute to the Optum Rx Technology team performing analysis and support of all EDI activities between internal users, customers, distributors, and software partners. The person in this role will collaborate with other information technology team members, operations, customer support, and finance team members towards building, maintaining, and monitoring EDI solutions across the SAP ERP and Axway platforms as well as related business processes.

Primary Responsibilities
- Establish and support AS2/SFTP connections
- Assist in the design, development, testing, implementation, and training of supported EDI formats
- Establish effective communication with clients and trading partners in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Act as a liaison with Supply Chain customers, trading partners, and software vendors
- Proactively monitor EDI system health and provide timely responses to alerts
- Support data validation and delivery of reports
- Assist in creating and maintaining detailed documentation and process flows for all EDI processes
- Work with appropriate internal staff and third parties to resolve and document tickets in specialized areas requiring their skills
- Use enterprise-approved AI tools to streamline workflows, automate tasks, and drive continuous improvement
- Evaluate emerging trends to inform solution design and strategic innovation

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in EDI ANSI X12 support and development
- 5+ years of experience in SAP EDI creation and processing
- 5+ years of experience with markup languages such as JSON and XML
- 4+ years of experience with Axway B2Bi Software
- 4+ years of experience in Axway B2Bi EDI development
- Advanced level of proficiency in MS Office skills, particularly with Excel and PowerPivot
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Logistics, Business Administration, or 4+ years of equivalent technology experience.
- Experience with programming languages such as C++ or Java.
- Experience working with ServiceNow ticketing system.
- Experience with development and troubleshooting of reports.
- Working knowledge of traditional distribution and 3PL inventory practices.
- Knowledge in SAP S/4 of Purchase Order and Sales Order processing.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and tasks with time constraints.
- Strong attention to detail and overall flexibility when working in ambiguous situations.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
