Senior Technical Content Editor

You're a proactive storyteller who edits technical content for accuracy and clarity while helping to shape how Trail of Bits communicates its research and insights. You edit security reports across application security, blockchain, cryptography, AI/ML, and research and engineering engagements with precision. You develop, edit, and publish posts on the Trail of Bits blog and manage publication through GitHub pull requests and reviewer coordination. You manage the team's report tracker and quality metrics systems, and you build Claude-based tools to streamline content creation and editorial workflows. You lead document design beyond reports including SOWs, proposals, engineer bios, program overviews, QBR materials, case studies, and testimonials. You shape editorial standards and style guides, influencing how the team writes. As a marketer you identify and produce marketing content proactively such as blog posts, case studies, social threads, newsletter sections, and event collateral. You own the content calendar with the Technical Marketing Manager and Lead Technical Editor, ensuring steady publishing cadence and cross-practice coverage. You create and publish social media content across X, LinkedIn, Bluesky, and Telegram, and extract stories from engineers to turn research and tool releases into publishable content. You collaborate with engineering directors to understand roadmaps and turn their output into published material. You write and edit content for demand generation campaigns, emails, webinars, and conference activations. You maintain and grow the newsletter pipeline with section drafts and repurposed content. You elevate the writing across GTM and engineering, helping team members produce clearer briefs and talks.

Responsibilities

• Edit security reports across application security blockchain cryptography AI ML and research and engineering engagements
• Develop edit and publish posts on the Trail of Bits blog
• Manage publication through GitHub pull requests and coordinate with internal and external reviewers
• Manage the team's report tracker and quality metrics systems
• Build Claude based tools for content creation and editorial refinement
• Lead document design beyond reports including SOWs proposals engineer bios program overviews QBR materials case studies and testimonials
• Shape editorial standards and style guide evolution

Requirements

• Strong editorial skills with grammar mechanics and style
• Technical content experience in cybersecurity or another technical field
• Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts to draw out and shape content
• Proficiency with GitHub Hugo Slack Markdown and AI assisted editing tools like Claude
• Ownership and independence able to operate with minimal direction
• Proactive storytelling instincts and ability to turn engineering output into publishable content
• Experience with content marketing campaigns calendars or assets is a plus
