Job Summary
Technical Designer VII Engineering manages all phases of engineering projects and developing innovative solutions—from concept through design to execution. This role is accountable to provide expertise to staff and can be relied upon to make recommendations for technical and design solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead efforts on key projects as lead engineer responsible for the overall vision, quality and implementation. Partner with leadership to vision, plan and implement strategic initiatives, quality requirements and policy.
- Provides leadership and guidance for staff on project assignments. Manages and perform system design, including calculations, equipment selection, layout, and drawing preparation. Lead and contribute to overall engineering analysis and solutions.
- Plan and conduct evaluation and site observation. Perform Quality Control for projects by reviewing project documents, specifications, and design options; ensure code compliance through meetings and reviews. Make recommendations based on findings. Apply standard engineering practices and software tools to produce high-quality deliverables.
- Conduct site investigations and technical research to support design decisions. Evaluate and mitigate project risk.
- Build and develop internal and external relationships.
