Senior Technical Designer

Guildford, Surrey | £65,000-£75,000 | Permanent

We're recruiting for an established commercial workplace design and build business seeking an experienced Senior Technical Designer to join its Guildford team.

This is a senior, hands-on architectural technical design role, focused on commercial office fit-out, construction detailing and project delivery.

This is not a graphic design, branding, marketing or digital design position.

You'll lead the technical development of commercial workplace projects, translating architectural and interior design concepts into fully coordinated, compliant and buildable solutions.

Responsibilities include:

• Producing and reviewing detailed architectural construction drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.

• Coordinating architectural designs with structural, mechanical and electrical consultants.

• Resolving technical detailing, construction and buildability challenges.

• Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, CDM and relevant construction standards.

• Supporting site teams through construction, including technical queries and design changes.

• Mentoring designers and maintaining high technical standards.

We're looking for someone with:

• 6+ years' experience in architectural technology, interior architecture or technical design.

• Strong commercial workplace, office fit-out or design and build experience.

• Excellent hands-on Revit and AutoCAD skills.

• Proven architectural construction detailing and technical documentation experience.

• Knowledge of BIM coordination and UK Building Regulations.

• The ability to independently manage technical delivery in a fast-paced environment.
