The Senior Technical Engineer is responsible for testing, calibrating, installing, commissioning, and maintaining instrumentation and control systems, including Emergency Shutdown (ESD) systems, control valves, PID controllers, timers, and field instruments. The role involves carrying out on-site calibration, loop checks, system simulations, troubleshooting, and ensuring the reliable operation of instrumentation equipment. The engineer is required to remove, install, and calibrate instruments while handling all equipment with due care to prevent damage. The position also requires the ability to read and interpret Instrument Loop Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and other technical drawings, as well as compliance with safety regulations, Permit-to-Work (PTW) procedures, company policies, and industry standards to ensure safe and efficient execution of maintenance and commissioning activities.
