Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager to lead engineering teams, drive technical architecture, manage product delivery, and oversee the successful execution of AI initiatives. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise with people leadership, project management, and hands-on experience delivering scalable, secure, and reliable software products.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology and Architecture Leadership

• Provide technical direction across Python, FastAPI, React, Next.js, databases, cloud infrastructure, and AI architectures.
• Review solution designs to ensure security, scalability, maintainability, performance, and cost efficiency.
• Establish engineering standards and resolve complex technical challenges across teams.
• Stay technically hands-on through architecture reviews, critical code reviews, and production incident debugging.

2. People and Delivery Management

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams with clear goals, ownership, and accountability.
• Manage project estimation, resource capacity, execution timelines, dependencies, risks, and releases.
• Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, coaching, and skill development planning.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver measurable product outcomes.

3. AI Project Execution

• Evaluate AI use cases based on technical feasibility, data readiness, risks, costs, and measurable business value.
• Lead the development and deployment of LLM, RAG, agentic AI, and AI-assisted product initiatives from proof of concept to production.
• Establish evaluation frameworks, human validation, security, privacy, observability, and rollback mechanisms.
• Ensure AI projects deliver reliable production outcomes rather than remaining isolated prototypes.

4. Engineering Quality and Operational Excellence

• Drive improvements in engineering quality, system reliability, security, and production stability.
• Establish robust development, testing, deployment, and monitoring practices.
• Ensure responsible use of AI tools while protecting source code, credentials, user data, and confidential information.
• Identify delivery risks early and implement corrective actions to maintain predictable project execution.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including significant technical and people leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of Python, FastAPI, React.js, Next.js, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
• Proven experience managing product delivery, project planning, risk management, and production operations.
• Experience hiring, mentoring, evaluating, and developing engineering teams.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), or agentic AI projects.
• Practical understanding of Generative AI, responsible AI implementation, testing, and validation.
• Ability to use approved AI tools productively while maintaining data security, privacy, and traceability.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

• Experience in EdTech or medical-learning technology products.
• Exposure to AWS, Kubernetes, DevSecOps, MLOps, or LLMOps.
• Experience scaling engineering teams and technology platforms through major transformation initiatives.
