Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Officer to oversee the technical operations of a prominent shopping mall and mixed-use development. This role will focus on building services, M&E systems, contractor management, maintenance planning, and technical compliance to ensure the asset operates safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and coordinate the operation and maintenance of all M&E systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire services, plumbing, and vertical transportation systems
- Conduct routine inspections of building services and common areas to ensure operational reliability and compliance
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance works with service providers and contractors
- Investigate technical faults and operational issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to tenants and customers
- Support fit-out and reinstatement works from a technical and compliance perspective
- Assist with asset enhancement projects, refurbishment works, and CAPEX initiatives
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and company procedures
- Monitor contractor performance, service quality, and maintenance records
- Prepare technical reports, maintenance schedules, and operational documentation
Required Competencies and Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical operations, facilities management, or building services within retail, commercial, or mixed-use properties
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and building operations
- Experience coordinating contractors and maintenance service providers
- Familiarity with statutory requirements and property compliance standards
- Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related disciplines
