Summary

Senior Technical Product Manager who owns the data platform and integrations roadmap for a B2B legal-tech SaaS startup — defining APIs, data pipelines, data architecture and reusable platform foundations with Engineering, Data and AI teams using AWS and Snowflake/Databricks. Hybrid role from the Sydney office; ~A$200k plus equity.

Salary: 200,000

Our client a B2B legal technology company building foundational tools for enterprise legal teams to better own, manage and resolve legal work at scale.

The platform combines modern SaaS workflow tooling with agentic AI-native product experiences, helping legal teams capture, triage, route, manage and complete work with greater visibility, speed and control.

We are building toward a new category of Legal Service Hub: the system that helps in-house legal teams understand demand, orchestrate workflows and deliver better outcomes across the business.

The Role We are looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager, Data & Integrations to help shape the foundations of our data platform and integration capabilities.

This is an early-stage opportunity. We are at the beginning of our journey in building out a more connected data platform, and this role will help define the strategy, roadmap and foundations for how data is collected, managed, integrated and used across the platform.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, Data, AI and customer-facing teams to understand our data needs, identify gaps and opportunities, and translate these into a clear and pragmatic product roadmap.

The role has a strong technical focus. You will need to be comfortable working with Engineering and Data teams across areas such as AWS, Snowflake or Databricks, APIs, integrations, data models and data pipelines.

You don't need to have built an entire data platform from scratch, but you should have the technical understanding and product experience to help shape the right approach, ask the right questions and make sensible trade-offs as the platform evolves.

A key part of the role will be thinking beyond individual integrations and helping establish reusable data and platform capabilities that can support the broader product and AI roadmap as the company scales.
What You'll Own
  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for our data platform and integration capabilities
  • Help define the foundations of a scalable data platform, working closely with Engineering and Data
  • Help shape our approach to data architecture, platforms and tooling, including technologies such as AWS, Snowflake and/or Databricks
  • Identify and prioritise the data and integration capabilities required to support the broader product and AI roadmap
  • Work with internal teams and customers to understand data requirements, pain points and integration needs
  • Define product requirements for APIs, integrations, data flows, ingestion, transformation and data access
  • Help establish patterns and reusable capabilities for connecting with external systems
  • Work closely with Engineering to make technical trade-offs around architecture, scalability, reliability and maintainability
  • Define how data should move between our platform and third-party systems, including ownership, validation and failure handling
  • Partner with AI and Product teams to understand how data and platform capabilities can support AI-powered experiences
  • Help establish appropriate approaches to data quality, governance, permissions, security and auditability
  • Translate complex technical problems into clear product requirements, priorities and delivery plans
  • Create clarity where there is ambiguity and help the team make pragmatic decisions as the platform evolves
  • Define success metrics and use data to understand the performance, adoption and reliability of platform capabilities
  • Work closely with Engineering, Data, AI and customer-facing teams throughout discovery, delivery and iteration
About You
  • Senior product management experience in B2B SaaS, enterprise software, data platforms, integrations or technically complex products
  • Strong technical fluency and confidence working closely with software engineers, architects and data teams
  • Experience working with data platforms, APIs, integrations, data models and system-to-system data flows
  • Good understanding of cloud environments, particularly AWS
  • Experience with, or strong understanding of, modern data platforms such as Snowflake and/or Databricks
  • Comfortable understanding technical architecture and making product decisions that balance customer value with technical complexity
  • Experience taking a platform, product capability or technical initiative from concept through to production
  • Understanding of modern data and integration patterns, APIs, data pipelines and distributed systems
  • Able to work comfortably between high-level product strategy and detailed technical requirements
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break complex technical problems into manageable product outcomes
  • Comfortable operating in an environment where the platform, architecture and product strategy are still evolving
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align technical and non-technical teams
  • Strong product judgement and an ability to prioritise foundational work against immediate customer needs
  • Pragmatic, curious and ownership-oriented, with the ability to drive work forward in ambiguity
  • Comfortable working in an AI-native product environment and understanding how data foundations support AI products and experiences
Desirable
  • Experience building or scaling data platforms within a SaaS or enterprise environment
  • Experience with data warehousing, lake-house architecture or modern data infrastructure
  • Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data ingestion or transformation frameworks
  • Experience with APIs, webhooks, event-driven architecture or integration platforms
  • Experience with data governance, lineage, permissions, privacy or auditability
  • Experience integrating enterprise systems such as CRM, ERP, HR, finance or document management platforms
  • Experience supporting AI products through data platforms, retrieval systems or other data-intensive capabilities
  • Experience working in an early-stage or high-growth technology environment where platform foundations are still being established
  • Technical background in software engineering, data engineering, solutions architecture or cloud technology
