About the Role
This role leads the technical delivery, vendor coordination, and
requirements definition for a major Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI)
modernization initiative. The Senior Technical Program Manager will guide multi‑vendor
execution, oversee contract development with system integrators, and ensure
alignment between business needs, technical feasibility, and implementation
outcomes. This position requires strong technical leadership, cross‑functional
collaboration, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior
leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contract
development and technical coordination with the System Integrator and AMI
Replacement vendors.
- Drive cross‑functional
project execution across Legal, Procurement, technical teams, and external
vendors.
- Manage vendor
deliverables, schedules, milestones, and Agile/Scrum processes.
- Develop and
maintain technical program reporting for leadership visibility.
- Lead
requirements definition for integrated business processes and technical
environments.
- Evaluate
emerging technologies and recommend strategic adoption opportunities.
- Resolve complex
stakeholder conflicts through negotiation and prioritization.
- Design
scalable, secure, and high‑performance technical solutions aligned with
business needs.
- Validate post‑implementation
outcomes using KPIs and structured review processes.
- Mentor team
members on advanced requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
- Coordinate
teams during critical implementation phases to ensure alignment and
delivery quality.
Requirements
Experience:
- 8+ years of
related experience in technical program management.
- Preferred:
Experience with large‑scale technology programs, vendor management,
contract development, and multi‑vendor delivery.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to
anticipate risks and dependencies across systems and teams.
- Strong
communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Expertise
evaluating trade offs among business needs, technical feasibility, and
cost.
- Knowledge of
change management and implementation considerations.
- Deep
understanding of end‑to‑end business processes and supporting systems.
- Skilled in
designing integrated business and system solutions.
- Strong
background in requirements leadership for complex projects.
- Preferred:
Experience with SDLC, Agile, backlog management, and user story
development.
- Candidates who can be on site 4 days a week given strong preference. Will consider strong candidates who can travel to site for meetings biweekly.
Education:
- Bachelor’s
degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
