Senior Technical Program Manager
Built to set the gold standard for integrated AI infrastructure
Crux AI is a newly formed, U.S.-based integrated AI infrastructure company created to remove the physical and operational constraints on consequential AI ambitions. Crux brings together power, high-density data centers, TPU silicon, networking, orchestration software, and ongoing operations as one integrated system.
Crux is being capitalized to plan every layer together, develop each one to demanding standards, and operate the whole system with efficiency and reliability. That gives hyperscalers, frontier AI labs, sovereign customers, enterprises, and AI-native companies greater freedom to pursue the AI they are here to create.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
You will join the end-to-end Pipeline Analytics team as a senior individual contributor. The team supports cross-functional strategic initiatives across the offices of the CFO, CDO, CEO and COO with one shared view of every project's delivery, cost and schedule.
In this role you will own the end-to-end planning and cost/schedule models behind AI infrastructure programs, connecting demand, supply, delivery schedules and dollars. A core focus is pre-assessing sites as they enter the pipeline: verifying schedules, testing cost and judging overall fit with the pipeline. You will turn unclear inputs into scenarios a leadership team can decide on. These inputs include capacity timelines, developer schedules and site status, vendor and equipment lead times, capital budgets and contract terms. Lease and deal execution sit with a separate team.
AI tools will be your primary way of working, letting you build, test and update models and reports much faster than traditional spreadsheet or coding methods allow. Well-structured data, data integrity and transparency in an AI-enabled environment are central to the job. Your judgment on what the numbers mean matters more than your ability to write the code yourself.
In this role, you will:
Site pre-assessment (pipeline entry)
Pre-assess sites entering the pipeline for schedule, cost and overall fit with Crux's pipeline and capacity needs.
Verify developer and vendor schedules against the evidence, including permits, utility dates, equipment lead times and construction sequencing. Flag gaps before a site advances.
Benchmark site costs and turn schedule risk into cost exposure.
Review project data rooms and cost reports for cost, schedule and delivery risk.
Give clear advance, hold or decline recommendations. Hand qualified sites to the team that owns lease and deal execution.
Planning and modeling (core of the role)
Build and own end-to-end models linking demand, capacity, supply, delivery schedules and cost for AI infrastructure programs.
Run scenario and what-if analysis, such as P25/P50/P80 ranges, capacity and delivery timing, and lead-time shocks. Turn the results into clear trade-off recommendations.
Build portfolio metrics for site and infrastructure development across existing, greenfield and brownfield sites. Report progress against objectives and use financial metrics to support portfolio decisions.
Data structure, integrity and transparency
Design and maintain a clear, consistent data structure for pipeline, project, cost and schedule data, with shared definitions, fields and naming across teams.
Own data integrity by validating inputs, reconciling sources, catching errors and gaps early, and keeping one source of truth for plan-of-record figures.
Make every number traceable to its source, assumptions and revision history, with version control and change logs.
Keep status, assumptions and changes visible to the offices of the CFO, CDO, CEO and COO, so all four work from the same numbers.
Delivery and operations
Track delivery schedules and milestones, and flag risks to on-time capacity early, such as equipment shortages, lead-time changes and permitting or power delays.
Run planning reviews and escalations with engineering, construction, operations and supplier teams.
Commercial and finance
Manage cost and schedule together: budgets, capital spend tracking, cost-driver analysis, forecast vs. actual, and schedule-driven cost exposure.
Model supplier and contract economics, including payment terms, long-term agreements, should-cost and total cost of ownership. Share the analysis with the teams that negotiate and execute agreements.
AI tools
Use AI tools as the default way to build models, automate reporting, pull data from documents and produce executive-ready outputs.
Set and share best practices for using AI tools in planning across the team.
Communication
Turn complex models into short, clear narratives and recommendations for the CFO, CDO, COO and CEO, as well as investors and partners.
Act as the analytical link across the offices of the CFO, CDO, CEO and COO. Bring their priorities into one plan and prepare decision packages for strategic initiatives.
SIGNALS OF SUCCESS
After 60 days in this role:
Program cadence and escalation gates are stood up and running across at least one active workstream.
First integrated Finance/Development/Operations status view is in use, replacing ad hoc updates.
After 6 months:
Commitments-to-closure tracking is live across the full active portfolio, with zero silently-dropped action items.
Finance is running its models off your reconciled data, not parallel spreadsheets.
After 1 year:
The Finance↔Ops translation layer runs as a repeatable system, not a personal effort — positioned to scale as Crux's build pipeline grows.
EXPERIENCES, ATTRIBUTES AND MINDSET THAT INDICATE A GOOD MATCH
Experiences
Bachelor's degree in engineering, finance, supply chain, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8–10 years of experience in program management, planning or project controls, leading cross-functional work without direct authority.
Deep experience building demand, supply, capacity or delivery models with scenario and what-if analysis.
A proven record of structuring complex data and keeping it accurate, reconciled and traceable, with clear version control and audit trails.
Proven cost and schedule management, including schedule verification, on large capital programs: budgets, forecasts, capital spend tracking, earned value or similar controls.
Strong financial skills: cost-driver analysis, cash flow and payment-term modeling, NPV/ROI business cases, and translating schedule changes into cost impact.
Daily, hands-on use of AI tools for analysis, modeling, document review and reporting.
Experience presenting recommendations to C-level executives.
Attributes
You build the system that makes the next status meeting boring, through discipline, not heroics - you don't paper over a conflict between Finance and Ops, you surface it and help resolve it.
You are the honest broker between functions - you hold Finance and Ops to the same numbers and say so when they don't match.
Mindset
High tolerance for ambiguity. You design structure where none exists yet, rather than waiting for one to arrive.
AI-agentic first. Fluent with AI agents - or committed to becoming so quickly - and you embed them as first principles in how you and your team work, defaulting to agentic workflows before adding headcount or process.
Nice to have (preferred, not required)
Data center, hyperscale or other mission-critical infrastructure experience, especially AI/GPU capacity.
Background that spans delivery, operations and commercial or finance roles, such as project controls, FP&A, category management or sourcing.
Experience assessing data center sites or projects for schedule, cost and delivery risk, including verifying developer schedules against evidence.
Understanding of data center technical requirements such as power density and redundancy (N+1, 2N), enough to model their cost and schedule effects.
Experience with supplier agreements, long-lead equipment procurement and should-cost models.
Experience reviewing data rooms, cost reports or independent cost and schedule assessments for investors or lenders.
A track record of using AI tools to replace manual reporting or spreadsheet work.
Experience leading, mentoring or informally managing analysts or program managers.
Certifications such as PMP, AACE (CCP/PSP) or APICS (CPIM/CSCP) are a plus.
SQL or Python are useful but not required. Fluency with AI tools, and the ability to use them to drive change while scaling an organization, matter more.
