Description

Senior Technical Program Manager - Oracle PPM & AI-Augmented Delivery

Location: Austin Texas, US

Type: Full-time

Job Summary

This is not a project manager who has read the Oracle documentation. This is someone who has personally configured Oracle Fusion PPM or EPBCS on a large enterprise, has sat across the table from senior & technical stakeholders, and has run hybrid delivery pods.

We need a Senior Technical Project Manager who can own this end to end — technically credible enough to challenge an Oracle architect’s recommendation, commercially aware enough to manage engagement budget, and senior enough to sit in a steering committee with a VP and earn the room.

Responsibilities

Client relationship and engagement governance

  • Single point of accountability for eClerx delivery across all phases and workstreams
  • Weekly delivery standups, bi-weekly steering, monthly executive reviews
  • Manage scope, risk, and change control across a multi-workstream program
  • Build and maintain trust with Client senior stakeholders

Technical architecture and delivery oversight

  • Own the solution architecture across Oracle PPM/EPBCS, OIC integrations, OCI, FDI data pipelines, and the AI agent layer — not as the hands-on builder but as the person who can spot a wrong design decision in a whiteboard session and say so credibly
  • Chair architecture decision reviews; escalation point for every integration design, Flexfield strategy, RBAC model, and agent runtime choice

Commercial management

  • Forecast resource demand by phase; manage the on/off hybrid mix
  • Support pre-sales on the next phase of the engagement

Team leadership

  • Lead a multi-disciplinary team: Oracle functional specialists, OIC integration developers, AI/agentic engineers, data engineers, QA, change management
  • Set delivery standards, review quality, and hold the team accountable without micromanaging
  • Develop the offshore team — give them the context they need to do their best work, not just tasks

You do not need to write code or configure Oracle yourself. But you do need to be able to:

  • You have probably been an Oracle PPM or EPBCS functional architect at some point.

  • Walk into a conversation with a Client IT architects & build trust with technical capabilities
  • Challenge your team’s proposed Extensible Flexfield design if it will create a maintenance problem in three years
  • Understand the difference between an agent that uses a deterministic Oracle extract (right) and one that calls an LLM to compute a financial figure (wrong), and enforce the distinction
  • Know why a data block certification gate matters before a Wave 1 agent goes live and be able to explain it to a client exec who just wants to see the demo
  • Read a work breakdown structure and know whether estimates are credible or padded

Eligibility Requirements

Non-negotiable:

  • 10+ years in enterprise IT delivery, with at least 5 in a client-facing engagement lead or program manager role
  • Direct experience delivering Oracle Fusion PPM, Oracle EPBCS at enterprise scale — not just supporting or testing; you owned a delivery stream
  • Experience managing multi-workstream programmes with 20+ FTE across onshore/offshore teams
  • Demonstrable experience managing difficult client conversations — scope disputes, timeline resets, etc. — and coming out the other side with the relationship intact
  • Comfortable operating from mid-level technical review all the way to VP/Director-level steering conversations in the same week

Strongly preferred:

  • Experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or similar integration platforms — enough to review a design and ask the right questions
  • Exposure to AI/agentic delivery — LLM integration, RAG, or agent build on any platform; direct experience with Program Studio/DataRobot is a significant advantage
  • Experience with enterprise data platforms (FDI, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar) at the architecture level
  • Prior delivery experience at a complex enterprise client
  • Experience navigating a formal procurement or RFP process as the incumbent partner

In the US, the target base salary for this role is $200K to $220K. Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and geography. We expect the majority of candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors
