Senior Technical Project Manager

Location: Hyderabad
Working Hours: 3 PM IST to 12 PM IST (So that client PST time overlap is more)
Monday to Thursday WFO & Friday WFH
Position Summary
The Senior Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading complex technical initiatives from initiation through delivery. This role bridges business and technology, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality and compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of technical projects across multiple teams
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets
- Manage scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including engineering, IT, vendors, and stakeholders
- Facilitate Agile, Scrum, or Hybrid project ceremonies
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical solutions
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to leadership
- Drive adherence to governance, security, and compliance standards
- Manage vendor relationships and third-party dependencies
- Support release planning, deployment coordination, and post-go-live activities
- Ensure documentation, SOPs, and project artifacts are maintained
- Lead retrospectives and continuous improvement initiatives
- Implementation of scrum ceremonies.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- 8+ years of experience in project management, with at least 4+ years managing technical projects
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience managing Agile, Scrum, and/or Waterfall projects
- Hands-on experience with project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps)
- Strong technical acumen to engage with architects and engineers
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proven experience managing cross-functional and distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2 certification
- Agile certifications (CSM, SAFe, PMI-ACP)
- Experience in regulated environments (healthcare, finance, government)
- Experience with cloud, infrastructure, or data migration projects
- Familiarity with ITSM and DevOps practices
