Senior Technical Project Manager

The Senior Technical Project Manager manages digital transformation and cloud-based projects, focusing on delivering technology solutions that improve organisational services and operational efficiency. The role includes managing project scope, budget, timelines and resources while ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

The successful candidate will work with technical teams, stakeholders and suppliers using recognised project delivery methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall. Experience delivering cloud, digital transformation and technology projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery activities across the full project lifecycle for large-scale technology and transformation projects.
• Plan, coordinate and oversee project activities from initiation through implementation and transition to business operations.
• Work with stakeholders to support decision-making through analysis, reporting and recommendations.
• Monitor project priorities, dependencies, risks and benefits to support successful delivery.
• Escalate decisions and risks through agreed governance processes where required.
• Apply project management approaches appropriate to organisational and operational needs.
• Support continuous improvement of project delivery standards, tools and practices.
• Share project management knowledge and contribute to improvements across the wider team.

Essential Criteria

• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale technology, cloud, digital transformation or data projects.
• Experience delivering projects using Agile, Waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
• Experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, resources and risks.
• Experience working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience preparing project reporting, governance materials and management updates.
• Experience supporting organisational change and adoption activities.
• Understanding of cloud technologies, with Azure experience preferred.
• Understanding of Power BI and Azure Synapse delivery environments.
• Ability to translate business objectives into measurable project outcomes.

Desirable Criteria

• PRINCE2® certification.
• PMP certification.
• PMBOK knowledge or certification.
• SAFe certification.
• Diploma or advanced qualification in Project Management or a related discipline.
• Experience delivering projects within public sector environments.
• Experience working with Microsoft Power Platform and D365 solutions.
• Experience using Copilot for Power BI.

• Salary Range: €70,000-€85,000
