Senior Technician

Summary: This position is responsible for maintaining the operation of the test equipment and peripherals used in the test labs for photonics testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned):

• Set up, troubleshoot, and maintain Test equipment consisting of ATE, prober, and test instrumentation
• Ability to setup and program Advantest 93K, Teradyne uFLEX, or Keysight equipment
• Trouble shoot and resolve equipment malfunction and participate in the repair work when needed
• Perform hands-on manufacturing & test of spectacularly critical opto-mechanical sub-assemblies and/or systems!
• Follow up on the repair work if need to be performed by specialized contractors
• Perform the preventive maintenance program as scheduled on the equipment
• Hold and update the records of PM and calibration of the equipment
• Place the orders for spare parts that is needed for the equipment
• Maintain, repair and inspect the equipment monitoring system
• To be able to modify existing equipment to fit needs of lab tests.
• Prepare technical reports related to the work
• Participate in the design and manufacturing of mechanical fixtures
• Ability to read schematics, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Ability to install equipment.
• Ability to prepare specifications for equipment.
