Job Purpose
We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead and scale our infrastructure and deployment processes. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and hands‑on experience in building robust, secure, and scalable systems. You will play a key role in shaping our DevOps culture, mentoring junior engineers, and driving automation and reliability across the software delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, test, and deployment processes.
- Manage and support cloud and on‑premises infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Oracle OCI, or equivalent).
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Ensure system reliability, availability, and scalability through monitoring, alerting, and performance tuning.
- Implement automated deployment and release management processes across environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Production).
- Monitor systems and applications using observability tools and respond to incidents and outages.
- Manage and optimize containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure security best practices are applied across infrastructure and pipelines (access control, secrets management, patching).
- Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance, deployment efficiency, and system stability.
- Support incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Optimize infrastructure usage to ensure cost efficiency and performance optimization.
- Maintain and document DevOps processes, configurations, and system architectures.
- Promote and implement DevOps best practices, including automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Carry out such acts as shall be required for the proper fulfilling of duties listed above.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3 to 6+ years of experience in DevOps, System Engineering, or Infrastructure roles.
- Experience working with cloud platforms and modern deployment environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation.
- Experience in managing production environments and mission‑critical systems.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with cloud platforms, including one or more of:
- AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch)
- GCP (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud Run, Cloud Monitoring)
- Oracle OCI (Compute, Object Storage, Monitoring, Functions)
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Hands‑on experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python).
- Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, firewalls).
- Familiarity with security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and vulnerability management.
- Experience with automation tools and configuration management.
