Senior Technology Project Manager

Cathara Consulting is seeking a collaborative Senior Technology Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex information and operational technology initiatives within a large technology and systems environment.

You will help create a secure, scalable operational technology platform across primary and backup data centres, bringing together experts in infrastructure, networking, cyber security, virtualisation, storage, backup and automation.

This position will be based in Darwin at the client site.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead project planning and delivery from initiation through to handover.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, governance, reporting and change control.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, BAU functions, contractors and vendors.
• Oversee data centre infrastructure, secure OT networking and operational-site connectivity.
• Manage cyber security, critical infrastructure and regulatory risks.
• Establish effective support, operating and customer handover arrangements.
• Provide clear updates to senior stakeholders and governance forums.

About You

• Proven experience delivering large, complex infrastructure or technology projects.
• Strong governance, commercial judgement and project recovery capability.
• Sound knowledge of data centres, enterprise networking, virtualisation, storage, backup and cyber security.
• Demonstrated success leading technical teams and managing senior stakeholders and vendors.
• Experience in secure, regulated or critical infrastructure environments.
• Experience in operational technology, SCADA or industrial networks; IT/OT convergence and secure remote access; VMware VCF or NSX-T; platform engineering or infrastructure automation.
• Background in government, utilities, defence or highly secure environments.
