Senior Telecommunications Engineer
Role overview:
The Senior Telecommunications Engineer will be responsible for the design and engineering of telecommunications and associated control systems for oil & gas projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements throughout the pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design stages.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in electronics engineering, instrumentation engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited university.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in telecommunications design engineering within the oil & gas industry.
- Proven experience working on both onshore and offshore projects.
- Strong background in engineering design, including pre-FEED, FEED, and detailed design phases.
- Extensive experience with microprocessor-based systems and associated technologies, including SCADA, DCS, ESD, IPS, fire & gas detection systems, fire protection systems, metering systems, and WHCP.
Preferred:
- Previous experience with major engineering consultancies or EPC/EPCM contractors such as Worley and similar organizations.
- Demonstrated experience delivering engineering design solutions for oil & gas projects.
- Strong understanding of industry codes, standards, and engineering best practices.
