Senior Test Analyst

Discussion

Salary: Competitive salary

Nova is part of the family-owned Todd Corporation, one of New Zealand’s largest and most successful companies. We’re the ones who supply great value energy, broadband and mobile services to all kinds of Kiwi homes and businesses.

We're looking for a Senior Testing Analyst to join our Wellington team and help ensure the technology our customers and teams rely on is reliable, thoroughly tested, and fit for purpose.

About the role

As a Senior Testing Analyst, you'll lead testing activities across a diverse portfolio of systems and initiatives, helping improve software quality, reduce production issues, and strengthen confidence in every release. You’ll provide specialist testing expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from defining test strategies and designing test cases through to automation, defect management and release readiness.

You'll work across platforms including Salesforce, AWS Connect, customer and market integrations, data platforms, and regulatory initiatives, partnering with developers, business analysts, product owners and business stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes.

Other key tasks:
  • Lead test planning and execution across projects, system enhancements, integrations and operational initiatives.
  • Design and execute functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, API and data validation testing.
  • Identify, manage and drive resolution of defects while supporting release readiness and deployment activities.
  • Support and facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide clear recommendations on solution readiness.
  • Contribute to test automation, testing frameworks, standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
This is an opportunity to influence how testing is approached across Nova Digital, champion quality practices, and contribute to the ongoing development of our testing capability.

About you:

You're an experienced testing professional who enjoys solving problems, finding risks before they become issues, and helping teams deliver quality outcomes. You know how to balance attention to detail with practical decision-making and can confidently work across both technical and business environments.

You'll be comfortable challenging assumptions, asking the right questions, and building strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Most importantly, you'll take pride in delivering high-quality work and creating confidence in the systems people rely on every day.

Key requirements:
  • Senior level experience in software testing, quality assurance or quality engineering.
  • Strong experience in system, integration, regression and end-to-end testing within complex technology environments.
  • Experience with test automation practices and tools.
  • Experience testing Salesforce applications and integrations would be highly valued.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or industry certification (such as ISTQB, Salesforce or Agile Testing) or equivalent practical experience.
More about the team

You'll be joining a team responsible for a diverse portfolio of business-critical systems that support customers, operations and regulatory obligations. The work is meaningful, varied and connected to real business outcomes.

We work together, share knowledge, and celebrate our successes whilst encouraging everyone to get involved and make things happen. If you are looking for an environment where you can challenge the norm and drive real change, we would love to hear from you.
