Senior Test Automation Engineer
Summary
Build and maintain Playwright-based end-to-end tests for a leading platform, using AI-powered tooling to speed up test creation and maintenance while integrating with CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Stockholm (consultant must be based in Stockholm)
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Our client is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join their team and help ensure the quality and reliability of a world-leading platform.
About the role
You will be deeply hands-on with Playwright, building and maintaining robust end-to-end test suites while leveraging modern AI-powered and agentic tooling to accelerate test authoring, maintenance, and coverage.
This is a senior, hands-on role requiring someone who can work closely with engineering teams to improve software quality without slowing down development.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in QA/Test Engineering
Deep expertise with Playwright
Strong understanding of test architecture and CI/CD
Experience partnering closely with engineering teams
Ability to mentor developers on quality best practices and test automation

Performance and load testing
Experience testing LLM-powered features (prompt evaluation, output quality validation, AI regression testing)
Responsibilities
Build and maintain end-to-end and UI test suites covering critical user flows across Local, Preview, Stage, and Production environments
Integrate automated tests into Kargo and CI/CD pipelines to validate deployments and support automated rollback
Enable engineering teams with the tools, frameworks, and best practices needed to debug, extend, and maintain the automated test suite
Work closely with product engineering teams, embedding within teams to establish reliable test coverage before handing over ownership of the test suite
Additional information
The client is investing heavily in agentic QA workflows, including the use of Playwright MCP and AI-assisted tooling for debugging, test generation, and test maintenance. There may also be opportunities to contribute to performance and load testing as the automation framework matures.
