Senior Test Automation Engineer in JavaScript

We are seeking an experienced Senior Test Automation Engineer with strong expertise in JavaScript to join our dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality health applications. In this role, you will work closely with a QA Testing Team to ensure the reliability and performance of applications through rigorous E2E testing and the use of cutting-edge automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Perform E2E testing of health applications, addressing both UI and backend/API components
• Automate test scenarios using existing test automation frameworks built with JavaScript and Node.js
• Conduct manual testing to ensure holistic test coverage in areas outside the scope of automation
• Work with test automation tools such as Selenium for UI testing and Chai/Mocha for backend/API testing
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using JavaScript-based frameworks
• Evaluate test outcomes to identify system defects and areas for performance improvement
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other Scrum team members to align testing strategies with business goals
• Support sprint activities, such as planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives
• Develop scalable and efficient testing approaches for complex applications
• Troubleshoot testing issues and recommend solutions to enhance workflows and test coverage

Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in test automation with JavaScript
• Proven experience with test automation frameworks including Selenium, Jest, Mocha, or Chai
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript
• Background in QA principles, test automation strategies, and software testing lifecycles
• Expertise in E2E testing, covering both UI and backend functionality
• Proficiency in collaborating within Scrum team environments to deliver high-quality results
• Understanding of manual and automated testing approaches and their complementary roles
• Capability to design test scripts that are efficient, reliable, and maintainable in enterprise systems
• Skills in debugging and optimizing test scripts to enhance performance
• Showcase of problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and quality assurance
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English (B2 level or higher)

Nice to have

• Experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) software or similar healthcare software
• Familiarity with Node.js and JavaScript-based test automation frameworks
• Strong communication skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams
