Experience using 3D computer-aided design and producing accurate engineering drawings, with an understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.
Ability to validate designs using engineering calculations and finite element analysis.
Understanding of hydraulic, electrical, control, instrumentation and data-acquisition systems and how they interact with mechanical systems.
Practical knowledge of machine safety, ergonomics and manufacturability.
Strong technical communication and collaboration skills, including contributing to or leading design reviews.
Experience coordinating suppliers, engineering work packages or manufacturing activities while balancing cost, quality and schedule.
Practical experience supporting the manufacture, assembly or commissioning of engineering equipment.
