Who we are

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Quality Engineer to drive software quality across the development lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in manual testing, excellent analytical skills, and experience working in Agile environments. In this role, you will be responsible for test planning, execution, defect analysis, and ensuring the delivery of reliable, high-quality software solutions.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan and execute specific testing approaches within defined stage of development e.g. risk based, exploratory, SIT, E2E, regression, security, usability etc
  • Analyse functional and technical specifications and user stories to develop test cases and scenarios
  • Work on the test scope and scenarios with key stakeholders and keep them informed of progress and any challenges/escalationsIdentify issues and risks relating to workload, escalate these and provide solutions
  • Report defects and assist in their understanding and work alongside the right stakeholders to triage the bug
  • Use a holistic approach to QA, reviewing test types and coverage, processes, runbooks, and documentation to mature the engineering and operational maturity of the department as it grows
  • Work alongside Quality Engineers to gain an in-depth level of understanding of the system under test to enable risk assessment/mitigation and detailed estimation, creation, and execution of test artefacts
  • Document and store helpful team quality process and procedure documentation
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal to interact with key stakeholders


What you'll bring along

  • Bachelor’s degree in Informatics/ or similar field of study/or equivalent working experience is required
  • A min 3-5 years demonstrable experience in a similar role is required
  • Experience of working in both an agile IT development model and a more traditional model, ensuring quality is embedded as early as possible (shift left)
  • Knowledge of all the different facets of test coverage, including unit testing, functional, usability, accessibility, performance, capacity, security, integration testing, compatibility etc
  • Up-to-date Testing industry knowledge and ability to bring new ways of working in-house to improve the output
  • Excellent analytical and diagnostic skills
  • Efficient planning skills and an ability to adhere to deadlines
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation
  • Excellent English verbal and written skill
