Role overview
To strengthen our Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE), we are looking for a Senior Test Practitioner with strong experience in enterprise testing and quality engineering.
This role plays a key part in shaping and driving testing strategy, governance, and capability development across IT divisions, programmes, and delivery teams. You will act as a senior expert and trusted advisor, promoting modern, risk-based and value-driven testing practices aligned with Agile, DevOps, and regulatory expectations.
Beyond strategy, you will actively support transformation by coaching teams, influencing stakeholders, and embedding sustainable improvements across the organisation.
Key responsibilities
1. Testing strategy & governance
Drive consistency and quality across testing practices while ensuring flexibility for different delivery contexts
Review, challenge, and refine test strategies at programme, product, and EPIC level to ensure they are risk-based, proportionate, and auditable
Define and maintain enterprise testing standards, KPIs, and governance principles
Contribute to the evolution of the testing operating model (roles, decision forums, accountability, escalation paths)
Assess testing maturity, identify gaps, and define pragmatic improvement actions
2. Modern testing practices & delivery enablement
Accelerate the adoption of modern quality engineering practices across teams
Promote practices such as BDD, TDD, contract testing, service virtualization, test automation, and continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines
Encourage pragmatic adoption of AI in testing, balancing innovation, value, and governance
Support the evolution of testing frameworks in complex environments (cloud, OpenShift, Infrastructure as Code)
3. Transformation & capability uplift
Contribute to the enterprise-wide testing transformation roadmap
Define scalable testing capabilities and support their adoption across teams
Translate strategy into operational reality through coaching, guidance, and practical frameworks
Develop reusable assets (standards, templates, playbooks, metrics frameworks, reference architectures)
Support business cases and demonstrate the value of quality initiatives through measurable outcomes
4. Leadership & community development
Strengthen the testing capability across the organisation
Provide coaching and mentoring to test engineers, test leads, and delivery teams
Contribute to communities of practice, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and training materials
Ensure TCoE guidance remains practical, relevant, and aligned with field realities
Promote a quality-first and continuous improvement culture
5. Stakeholder & vendor management
Act as a credible expert and influence decision-making at all levels
Communicate testing risks, priorities, and trade-offs to senior stakeholders
Support governance of external vendors and service providers
Contribute to RFI / RFP activities (requirements, evaluation criteria, recommendations)
Drive alignment across diverse stakeholders through expertise and influence
Required experience & technical skills
Strong experience in enterprise testing strategy, governance, and quality assurance in complex organisations
Minimum 10 years of experience in testing, including at least 3 years in a similar senior or CoE role
Deep understanding of risk-based testing, test planning, defect management, and audit evidence
Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, and large-scale delivery models
Hands-on experience with modern quality engineering practices: shift-left, BDD, TDD, contract testing, automation at scale
Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines, continuous testing, and release quality gates
Experience in testing maturity assessments and process improvement frameworks
Strong knowledge of test data management and environment management
Good understanding of non-functional testing (performance, resilience, reliability, operability)
Ability to define and interpret KPIs, dashboards, and quality metrics
Experience in regulated environments (audit, traceability, compliance)
Familiarity with testing operating models and CoE structures

The Group Business Solutions (GBS) division ensures the competitiveness of Euroclear by delivering reliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets. Our technical teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients. We deploy changes into the production environment in a controlled and structured way that doesn't compromise production stability and we ensure applicative production support.
