Senior Therapy Associate
We are seeking dedicated Senior Therapy Associate to join our Occupational Therapy department. In this role, you will work closely with our therapists to deliver high-quality care and support to our patients.
Responsibilities
Clinical Support
- Assist Occupational Therapists (OTs) in implementing therapeutic programmes and preparing materials for therapy sessions.
- Perform safe patient handling and transfers using appropriate techniques and equipment.
- Support patients during treatment sessions, including helping them prepare and positioning them appropriately.
- Set up and maintain therapy equipment, ensuring all items are clean and in proper working order.
- Supervise patients during prescribed exercises and therapy activities as directed by the therapist.
- Monitor patients' responses during therapy sessions and report observations to the therapist.
- Training will be provided for staff to independently conduct interventions prescribed by OTs.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate equipment loan records and track inventory.
- Assist Occupational therapist to schedule and coordinate appointments if necessary.
- Maintain therapy-related records.
- Assist with basic administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
Education, Certification and Experience
- Minimum GCE 'N' Level qualification
- Certification in Healthcare Support (Therapy Support) ie. HMI, WSDip or any other related certification will be an advantage.
- Prior healthcare experience is an advantage.
Technical/ Communication Skills
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and preferred mother tongue languages (Malay/ Mandarin/ Tamil/ Dialects)
