Senior Travel Designer | Luxury Safari & Travel | Cape Town (Hybrid)
Kendrick Recruitment is searching for a commercially sharp, passionate Senior Travel Designer for a respected luxury safari and responsible travel operator with extraordinary remote properties in Zambia and Madagascar.
This is a senior individual contributor role, not a junior position. We need someone who converts, performs and mentors.
Location: Newlands, Cape Town (3 days office / 2 days WFH post-probation)
Salary: Competitive CTC (discussed with shortlisted candidates)
Additional: Quarterly performance bonus

What We Need:
- Minimum 5 years' Travel Designer experience – essential
- Proven luxury safari and responsible travel sales background – essential
- Destination knowledge of Zambia and Madagascar – highly advantageous
- Working knowledge of ResRequest, Safari Portal and HubSpot
- Strong commercial acumen, margin awareness and conversion track record
- Advanced enquiry qualification and negotiation skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and financial administration precision
- Stable work history with contactable references
The Role:
- Design and convert complex, high-value bespoke luxury itineraries
- Own revenue KPIs, conversion ratios and rate integrity
- Manage booking accuracy, supplier coordination and operational excellence
- Mentor and support junior Travel Designers
