Senior Treasury & Reconciliation Specialist

Our client is a regulated financial institution based in Riga, Latvia. Since its establishment in 2022, it has been providing electronic money and payment services as an authorised Electronic Money Institution. The company combines the agility of a fintech company with the standards of a regulated financial institution, serving a diverse customer base.

Role Overview

Join an exciting journey as a Senior Treasury & Reconciliation Specialist where you will have a significant impact on the financial operations. This role offers the opportunity to manage day-to-day treasury functions and take ownership of reconciliation processes. As the company grows, you will play a crucial part in developing and potentially leading a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily reconciliation of payment flows, bank accounts, clearing, and correspondent accounts.

  • Monitor and manage daily liquidity, including SEPA clearing, correspondent banks, and collateral accounts.

  • Review, update, and develop reconciliation and financial operations procedures in accordance with Latvian legislation.

  • Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual regulatory reports.

  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Support reconciliation related to card issuing and payment card operations.

  • Work with SEPA, TARGET, and other relevant payment/clearing infrastructure.

  • Take ownership of the reconciliation and treasury function and potentially build and manage a team as the company scales.

Requirements

  • Strong experience in banking, EMI, payments, or regulated FinTech.

  • Hands-on experience with reconciliation, treasury operations, and liquidity management.

  • Experience working with Latvijas Banka or within the Latvian regulated financial ecosystem is highly preferred.

  • Understanding of regulatory reporting requirements and experience preparing/submitting reports.

  • Ability to review and develop financial procedures based on applicable regulations and legislation.

  • Good understanding of SEPA, clearing, correspondent banking, and payment flows.

  • Card issuing/reconciliation experience is a strong advantage; acquiring experience is not required.

  • Accounting or financial reporting knowledge is an advantage.

  • Experience in Latvian commercial banking is highly preferred.

  • Languages: English, Latvian

  • Experience in fintech
