The Role
Design, develop, deliver - here's what you'll be responsible for:
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full stack applications using TypeScript across frontend and backend technologies
- Build responsive, accessible user interfaces with React and Next.js while delivering exceptional user experiences across web platforms
- Develop secure, high-performance backend services, RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints using Node.js frameworks such as Express or Fastify
- Design, optimise, and maintain relational databases while ensuring application performance, reliability, and scalability
- Implement authentication, authorisation, secure coding practices and performance optimisation across the application stack
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the software development lifecycle, from solution design and development through testing, deployment and production support
- Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, automation initiatives and the adoption of emerging technologies and AI-assisted development tools
What We're Looking For
A technically strong, solution-oriented software engineer:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in full stack software development
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript with proven experience developing applications using React, Next.js, Node.js, Express or Fastify
- Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL or MySQL, including database design and optimisation, with experience using ORM tools such as Prisma
- Familiar with frontend state management, testing frameworks, secure authentication methods (JWT/OAuth) and modern web security best practices
- Experience with AWS, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows and Agile software development practices
- Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with a passion for learning new technologies and leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor or GitHub Copilot
