Senior UI/UX Designer

Summary

Design and deliver UI/UX for a mission-critical operations platform and internal tools, collaborating with PMs and engineers, conducting user research, and bridging design to code using Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer to join our collaborative design team. In this role, you will mainly work on a mission-critical operations platform, transforming complex backend workflows into seamless, intuitive experiences. While prior experience with operations platforms is not mandatory, a passion for solving intricate, high-stakes puzzles is essential.

As part of our team, you will:

  • Design & deliver: Shape and deliver polished UI/UX for our core operations platform, web interfaces, and supporting internal tools.

  • Collaborate broadly: Partner closely with PMs, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure our designs align with both user workflows and broader business goals.

  • Balance innovation & execution: Explore and prototype innovative concepts for the future of our platform while actively supporting current feature development.

  • Validate via research: Conduct user research and usability testing directly with internal or external users to validate ideas and iterate on designs.

  • Bridge design to code: Maintain high design quality through regular desk checks and close collaboration with engineers during the development cycle.

  • Optimise continuously: Analyse system usage data to uncover user pain points and identify opportunities for continuous platform improvement.

  • Contribute to team: Actively participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and design critiques to help the design team grow together.

Qualities We Value

  • Experience: 2+ years of professional UX/UI design experience, backed by a portfolio showcasing user journeys across digital platforms.

  • Complexity tamer: A proven ability to distil complex, data-heavy operational ideas into highly intuitive user flows and clean visuals.

  • Visual craft: Strong visual design skills; experience with motion design and micro-interactions is a huge bonus for making functional tools engaging.

  • Platform fluent: A deep understanding of UX principles across web, mobile, and touch interfaces.

  • Toolkit: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools like the Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or similar.

  • User-first & Data-driven: A mindset rooted in user empathy, supported by research and data-driven design thinking.

  • Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently present, discuss, and defend design decisions to cross-functional partners.

  • Detail & strategy: A detail-oriented approach with a strong appreciation for design systems, balanced by the ability to see the big-picture operational strategy.

You will not be designing in a silo. You will be working alongside a close-knit group of designers in an environment that thrives on mutual support. We highly value:

  • A culture of asking questions: We do not expect you to have all the answers right away. We value curiosity and the willingness to ask "why" or "how" to uncover the best solutions.

  • Thriving in ambiguity: Operations platforms come with complex, moving parts. We embrace the messy early stages of problem-solving and figure things out together.

  • An open mindset: We celebrate diverse perspectives, constructive feedback, and the drive to constantly learn, experiment, and adapt.
