- Conduct user research through interviews, usability testing, and stakeholder engagement to understand user needs and improve application usability.
- Create personas, user journeys, workflow maps, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interface designs.
- Develop and maintain scalable design systems and UI standards across multiple applications.
- Collaborate with software engineers and product teams to deliver accessible, user-centered solutions.
- Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards (WCAG) and established design best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Psychology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, 7 years with a Master's degree, or 6 years with a Doctorate.
- Proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools.
- Experience presenting UX research findings and design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work onsite full-time in McLean, VA.
- Experience supporting Intelligence Community or other mission-critical government programs.
- Portfolio demonstrating UX research and UI design expertise.
- Experience with design systems, component-based development, and accessibility best practices.
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies and data-intensive applications.
The salary range for this role represents Aperio’s good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting.
