Senior User Experience Designer
Senior User Experience Designer
Do you want to shape one coherent user experience across products, platforms and more than 20,000 customers? Then you might be our new Senior User Experience Designer.
Continia develops add-on solutions for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Our solutions for accounts payable automation, e-documents, expense management and bank integration help more than 20,000 customers worldwide automate everyday finance processes, delivered through a global network of more than 1,800 reselling partners.
At Continia, we are looking for a Senior User Experience Designer who can lead our user research and build our shared design system. The role is part of our new cross-product User Experience function, where designers work across all our products, not only one.
Why now?
Continia has grown a lot in recent years, and our products increasingly ship together as the Continia Suite. Today, user requirements are often implemented directly, without anyone who works with and understands the need behind them. We want a much stronger focus on user experience: one consistent experience across the Suite, simple onboarding, and a Continia One that is easy to get started with and easy to install. That is why we are establishing a User Experience function, and you will be at the front of that change.
About the role
As Senior User Experience Designer, you will be the professional lead for user research and our design system. You will help shape a function where designers belong to one UX team and work in the product teams as needed.
Our products run inside Business Central, in our Continia One web portal and in our Expense Management mobile app. You will participate in designing the frameworks of these platforms, not only for the open web.
This is a professional lead role, and you will set the direction for research and the design system and mentor the team.
You will work closely with product managers, product directors, frontend developers and the two senior product designers who work on Continia One today. Product managers bring the business requirements. You bring the flows, the mockups and the evidence behind them, and the product manager approves UI and workflows.
What you will be doing
- Build and own Continia's design system across Business Central, web and mobile, including components, patterns and accessibility, and support our product directors on shared terminology.
- Plan and run user research with end users and partners, such as finance teams, bookkeepers, approvers and consultants, and turn insights into design decisions that product managers and product directors can act on.
- Deliver flows, wireframes and mockups to the product teams as part of refinement, and iterate with developers during sprints.
- Set UX quality criteria, review designs across products and make onboarding to Continia One and the Suite simple.
- Make UX measurable through adoption, time to onboard and support tickets, and use it in prioritization.
- Mentor our associate designer and help shape how the UX function works with the product teams.
Who are you?
We are looking for an experienced designer who is curious about the need behind a requirement and can turn research into clear, practical design. You thrive with building shared structures, working with many teams at once and backing your proposals with evidence.
We imagine you have:
- Multiple years of experience in UX or product design for complex B2B software, and a portfolio that shows research-driven design and design systems in use.
- Strong skills in research methods such as interviews, usability testing and analytics, and in modern design tools such as Figma.
- Experience designing within platform constraints, such as Business Central's page model, as well as for web and mobile.
- A pragmatic and collaborative approach to working with many stakeholders.
- And ability to bring people together, communicate and be open and frontrunning, when it comes to changes in ways of working or in the organization.
- Fluency in English, written and spoken.
Experience is important, but so is the drive to grow. If you do not tick every box, do not let that stop you from applying.
What do we offer?
At Continia, you will become part of an international SaaS company with strong ambitions and a unique partner driven go to market model.
You will get:
- A great possibility to build a new UX function and our design system, and really influence how users experience Continia's products
- Close colleagues in the UX function and the product teams who will help you succeed
- Flexible working hours at the office and in your home office. You will be based in [Aalborg or Copenhagen and work from the office at least 3 days a week
- A competitive compensation package, including pension and health insurance
- Local benefits such as an active employee association
- Company events where you meet colleagues from all around the world
