Senior UX Lead [Contractor/4 months]

Overview We’re seeking a Senior Lead UX Designer for a client in the specialty food industry, to act as UX Lead on a program that runs from kickoff through launch and hypercare. You will work as an individual contributor and own user journeys, information architecture, wireframes, prototyping and usability testing, with most of the work concentrated in the Discovery, Definition and Design phases. The role is part of the specialist experience layer that ramps in and out of a small, senior core team depending on phase. Your Impact Define user journeys for the program during the Discovery and Definition phases. Structure the information architecture of the solution. Produce wireframes that translate journeys and structure into screen-level design. Build prototypes in Figma to validate design decisions before they move forward. Plan and run usability testing, and apply the findings to the design. Work with the Experience Lead, Product Manager, Technical Architect and Program/Scrum Manager to keep UX decisions aligned with product, architecture and delivery. Qualifications Skills & Experience 7-8+ years of experience in UX design. Experience defining user journeys and journey mapping, using tools such as FigJam or Miro. Experience designing information architecture. Experience producing wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma. Experience planning and running usability tests and applying the findings to the design. Experience acting as UX lead or owning UX direction on a project as an individual contributor. Ability to work in a small, senior team alongside product, architecture and delivery management roles. Set Yourself Apart With Experience building complex prototypes in Axure. Experience running card sorting and tree testing with Optimal Workshop. Experience running usability tests with platforms such as Maze, UserTesting, Lookback or UsabilityHub.
