Senior Valuer

We are looking for a Senior Valuer to join our Singapore team and take ownership of complex valuation assignments for insurance, financial reporting, transaction and strategic asset management purposes. This is a senior role with genuine autonomy, client ownership and influence over how John Foord delivers specialist valuation services as we continue to grow.

The opportunity
As a Senior Valuer, you will lead valuation assignments from first client conversation to final report. You will scope work, conduct site inspections, undertake cost analysis, prepare high-quality reports and manage client relationships. Assignments may include site visits, virtual surveys and desktop valuations across Asia-Pacific and internationally.
Key responsibilities
· Lead insurance replacement cost, financial reporting and specialist valuation assignments.
· Assess the replacement cost or value of plant, equipment and associated buildings across a wide range of industries.
· Undertake site inspections, virtual surveys, desktop assessments and supporting technical analysis.
· Prepare accurate, well-structured valuation reports and cost analyses for clients.
· Apply expertise in project costing, asset appraisal and cost-based analysis.
· Support valuation work linked to IFRS 3, IAS 16componentisation, US GAAP, asset-backed lending, M&A, disposals and decommissioning studies where required.
· Mentor junior valuation colleagues and contribute to best-practice insurance and financial valuation approaches.
· Refine valuation policies, templates, systems and controls to improve quality, consistency and profitability.
· Stay current with IVSC, RICS Red Book and other relevant professional standards.
About you
· Approximately eight or more years’ relevant experience in valuation, quantity surveying, cost engineering, asset appraisal or a similar technical field.
· Experience with industrial assets, infrastructure, mining, energy, manufacturing, utilities or other complex asset classes.
· Strong grounding in cost-based analysis, valuation methodology and recognised professional standards.
· The judgement and independence to run assignments and client relationships with limited supervision.
· Excellent report-writing, analytical and client communication skills.
· Willingness to travel internationally as required.
· Professional membership of RICS, API, ASA or another comparable body would be highly regarded.
