About the project
Our client, a US-based digital health company, is building a closed-loop wellness platform. Two of its core surfaces are web, desktop-first applications: an Operations Console — the advisor's daily command center, with a rule-ranked queue, a member 360 view, structured intervention actions, and an activity log — and a Back Office for admin, roster, billing, and cohort analytics. Both handle Protected Health Information (PHI) and are built to make dense, data-heavy workflows fast and clear.
We're looking for a Senior Web Frontend Engineer to build these operational surfaces, working closely with backend, design, and the tech lead in a distributed team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of frontend development experience, with strong hands-on React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Proven experience building operational / admin applications — data-dense dashboards, queues, tables, forms, and internal tools
- Strong grasp of state management, performance, and building responsive, accessible desktop-first UIs
- Experience integrating with REST APIs and handling complex, real-world data flows
- Familiarity with modern styling approaches (Tailwind, component libraries such as shadcn/ui)
- Experience writing automated tests and maintaining testable, maintainable code
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a remote or distributed team
Nice to have
- Experience building products that handle PHI / operate under HIPAA or similar compliance constraints
- Experience with data visualization and analytics dashboards
- Experience with testing tools such as Jest and/or Playwright
- Familiarity with a TypeScript monorepo (Turborepo) and shared packages
- An eye for UX in complex, workflow-heavy internal applications
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the Operations Console and Back Office web surfaces with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
- Implement data-dense workflows — rule-ranked queues, member 360 views, structured actions, and analytics
- Collaborate with backend engineers on API contracts and data flows
- Handle PHI responsibly in the frontend, following the project's compliance requirements
- Focus on performance, clarity, and usability in operational, desktop-first interfaces
- Cover work with automated tests and maintain high code quality
- Take ownership of your part of the work and communicate clearly within a distributed team
