Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Windows Systems Engineer maintains and secures enterprise Windows environments, automates tasks with PowerShell, and supports Active Directory and patch management for a financial-sector client.

We are looking for a Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join a project within a leading company in the financial sector.
You will be responsible for the administration, maintenance and continuous improvement of a large-scale enterprise Windows infrastructure supporting over 1,500 Windows servers across multiple international entities. Working as part of an experienced infrastructure team, you will combine project work with day-to-day operations, helping ensure the stability, security and performance of business-critical systems.
Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory services, including Group Policies, user and access management, security groups, and domain-related configurations.
- Administer and maintain large-scale Windows Server environments.
- Coordinate server patching, software deployment, security updates, and compliance activities.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell and other infrastructure automation tools.
- Apply Windows security hardening standards and contribute to vulnerability remediation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex incidents, and support disaster recovery and business continuity activities.
- Maintain technical documentation and collaborate with Security, Network, IAM, and DevOps teams.
- Contribute to infrastructure modernization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Windows systems administration.
- Strong Active Directory administration experience.
- Experience managing Group Policies, DNS and DHCP.
- Good PowerShell scripting skills.
- Experience with SCCM / MECM.
- Experience supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Fluent English.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Citrix or virtual desktop environments.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring platforms.
- Previous experience in financial services or other regulated environments.
- Microsoft or security-related certifications.
