Sequencing Operator - 1st Shift (6:30AM-3:00PM)
Summary
Operates sequencing equipment to assemble and ship automotive modules per customer schedules, using scanning devices and computer displays in a manufacturing facility.
Performs duties to inspect modules, sequence modules according to customer demands, and ship parts according to customer’s production schedule.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:.
• Work with computer scanning devices and computer display read outs
• Sequence racks according to customer demand print outs and rack numbers
• Identifies problems with completed modules and notifies management
• Load and unload trailers for shipping as required by deliver schedule
• Ensure rack sheets are attached to each cart as required by customer
• Sets up and tries new tooling, prototypes, and assists in maintaining current tooling.
• Report rack maintenance issues or broken parts to ensure racks are maintained to customer requirements and expectations.
• Creatively seeks improvements in working conditions, the process and its capability, which also includes working with his / her peers.
• Maintains required records.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
• Serves as a member of various committees as needed.
• Janitorial and cleaning duties.
• Follows all safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Performs other duties as necessary.
