Server BMC Firmware Engineer

You will develop BMC firmware and OpenBMC platform-management stacks for AI servers. You will implement management interfaces, host–BMC communication, high-speed device control, firmware update and reliability features, and debug system-level issues during hardware bring-up.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain BMC firmware for AI servers and systems
• Build OpenBMC-based platform-management stacks for power, thermal, sensor, FRU, and event-log functions
• Implement IPMI, PLDM, MCTP, Redfish, and host–BMC communication
• Integrate PCIe and USB devices into BMC firmware
• Design firmware update, rollback, and RAS features
• Debug system-level issues with hardware and SoC teams during hardware bring-up

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• At least 4 years of embedded or system-level firmware and software-development experience
• Strong C/C++ development and debugging skills
• Understanding of OS fundamentals, boot flow, IPC, and device communication
• Understanding of Linux kernel architecture and device drivers
• Ability to interpret hardware datasheets and schematics
• Experience debugging hardware-software boundary issues with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, bus analyzers, or JTAG
• Communication and problem-solving skills
