Embassy Suites by Hilton Akron Canton Airport is hiring friendly, outgoing Hotel Restaurant Servers to join our food and beverage team. If you have restaurant, server, waitstaff, bartender, banquet, catering, or hospitality experience, we would love to meet you. New to serving? We provide paid training. Embassy Suites is a Hilton brand known for its free made-to-order breakfast and evening reception, so you’ll help guests start and end their day with a smile.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately
• Serve made-to-order breakfast, including omelets, eggs, and breakfast favorites
• Serve food and drinks at the evening manager’s reception
• Set up, serve, and break down banquet and catering events, including meetings, weddings, and group functions
• Know the menu, daily specials, and ingredients, and answer guest questions
• Use the point-of-sale (POS) system to enter orders and process payments
• Keep dining areas, buffets, tables, and service stations clean, stocked, and organized
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
• Work with kitchen, bar, front desk, and banquet team members to deliver great service
• Handle guest requests and concerns quickly and professionally

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a server, waiter, waitress, bartender, banquet server, or in food service preferred (not required)
• Friendly personality and strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, carry trays, and lift to 25 lbs
• Food handler’s card, ServSafe, or alcohol service certification is a plus
