Server Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled, charismatic, and hospitality-driven Server to join our team. At Devil May Care, you will help create a collaborative workplace where team members support one another and take genuine ownership in delivering a meaningful, high-standard guest experience in a fast-paced environment.
Guest Service & Lead Role

Consistently deliver an approachable, refined hospitality experience and model leadership on the floor.

Maintain attentiveness to guests and team members throughout the shift.

Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage menus; accurately answer questions and recommend cocktails or alternatives.

Take food and beverage orders accurately, paying close attention to special requests and dietary restrictions.

Oversee all aspects of table service, including tableside service, serving food, wine, and cocktails.

Input all orders into the POS system accurately and efficiently.

Engage in active listening and clear communication with guests and teammates.
-
Adapt to adjustments on the fly and collaborate to clear service bottlenecks ("the weeds").
Pre-Shift Setup & Floor Readiness

Verify the floor is set to schematic — tabletops, seating, menus, and amenities.

Confirm POS terminals, printers, and card readers are online and that menus, features, and the 86 list are loaded.

Verify front of house par levels: glassware, linen, menus, check presenters, and printer paper.

Post the floor plan and section assignments as directed by the Manager on Duty.

Assist pre-shift: features, 86s, reservations, large parties, and VIPs.
Training & Onboarding

Train new Servers through the assigned training program, including day-by-day content and shadow shifts.

Verify training and certification sign-off items and submit completed records to management.

Deliver refresher training on menu changes, new SOPs, and POS updates.
-
Serve as the first point of reference on the floor for menu, POS, and procedure questions.
Closing Duties & Operations

Confirm sections, stations, and floors are reset to standard for the overnight clean and the next open.

Secure front of house stock; return keys, drawers, and check presenters per procedure.

Complete the front of house closing report and hand off to the Manager on Duty.

Secure and lock the venue per closing procedure.

Perform opening and closing side work consistently.

Monitor, restock, and replenish service item par levels, inventory, and supplies.

Maintain work area compliance with all local health codes at all times
Requirements

Experience: 1+ years of serving experience in a high-volume, fine dining restaurant preferred.

Certifications: Valid TABC Certification and Food Handlers Certification required prior to start date.

Interpersonal Skills: Outgoing personality, polished and professional demeanor, dynamic, and hospitality-driven attitude.

Work Style: Highly organized, strong multitasking abilities, comfortable receiving and delivering constructive feedback.

Language: Excellent communication skills; must read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
