Job Description

We are hiring a Server & Linux Administrator cum Site In-charge to manage on-site IT operations at our enterprise data center project in Vadodara. You will lead day-to-day operations and handle Linux/container platform administration. You will also be the main point of contact for the customers data center team, so you need both technical depth and good people-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

Technical (Server, Linux & Container Platform)

• Provide system support and OS maintenance, installation and configuration for Red Hat Linux servers.
• Administer container management platforms on Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes (K8s).
• Configure and manage master/worker nodes, container pods and clusters.
• Manage backup and replication of containerized applications and workloads.
• Maintain Microsoft products, NMS software, and virus prevention and cleanup on desktops and servers.

Site In-charge / Service Delivery

• Own ongoing operations at the facility and meet contractual SLAs.
• Handle escalations, change management and service reporting.
• Set up call-handling, asset management and tracking procedures.
• Maintain helpdesk records, prepare call statistics and report to the customer.
• Interface with the customer’s data center management on day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate with vendors to fulfil user requests.
• Run regular review meetings with management and keep customers satisfied.
• Create and maintain ISO 27001-based records for the ISMS.
• Build good working relationships with users and the on-site team.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

• B.E./B.Tech in Electronics or Computer Science, or MCA, or a full-time 3-year Diploma in Electronics/Computer Science from a government-recognized institution.

Mandatory Certifications

• RHCE (Red Hat Certified Engineer) or an equivalent Linux certification.
• ITIL Foundation (latest version).

Experience & Skills

• 7+ years of relevant experience in Linux administration and IT service management, in any industry.
• Hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift / Kubernetes administration.
• Working knowledge of backup and replication for containerized workloads.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft products and NMS tools.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001 / ISMS documentation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Team management and administrative skills, plus the ability to understand customer business requirements in a data center environment.
• Able to coordinate with multiple vendors.
