Essential Functions:

Knowledge of fine dining service.
Must have full familiarity with menus.
Must have full knowledge of beverage offerings/promotions.
Station set-up and breakdown/side-work.
To polish and clean the water glasses and flatware in his/her assigned station before opening hours.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager or supervisor.
Complete all assigned side work duties
Service to guests.
Be pleasant, smile and greet all guests, using surnames when obtained.

Complete cleanliness of all dining areas, furniture, fixtures and equipment.

Hotel Specific Essential Functions:

Knowledge of hotel property and downtown area
Familiarity with all food and beverage promotions.

Tools and Equipment:

Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine,

file folders, filing cabinet, facsimile machine

Working Environment:

Interior of hotel, in all areas of the hotel.

Exterior of hotel with exposure to weather conditions.

Exposure to various hazardous chemicals.

Exposure to food items and beverages.

Physical Job Requirements (for essential functions only)

Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/ Carrying

Lifting trays, equipment, dishware, etc up to 50 pounds.
Pushing, pulling racks, queen marys, etc up to 75 pounds
Carrying orders, equipment up to 25 pounds

Bending/Kneeling

Bending up to 30% of shift retrieving equipment, tray removal, etc

Mobility

Continuous movement throughout hotel – 80% of shift

Continuous Standing

Continuous standing to fill, check, deliver orders 60% of shift

Work Environment

Inside 100% of work period (usually 8 hours)

Hearing/Vision/Speech/Literacy

Hearing is moderate (Able to communicate with guest one-on-one. Accommodations may be provided)
Vision is critical (Emphasis on cleanliness standards, quality control and continuous movement throughout hotel)
Speech is moderate (Able to communicate with guest one-on-one)
Literacy is critical (Ability to take and communicate orders from guests and respond to special requests)

Wages: $7.89 first 3 months, $8.33 after 3 months, $8.77 after 6 months.
Union Dues $41.25 per month
