Server Operations Engineer III

What You’ll Do

  • Collaborate with cloud vendors and internal teams to support infrastructure delivery and deployment activities.
  • Perform operating system reinstallation and reboot procedures for cloud servers and bare-metal environments.
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues involving Linux systems, cloud servers, networking, and hardware-related abnormalities.
  • Partner with cloud providers to resolve infrastructure incidents and large-scale operational issues.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and support incident management activities.
  • Develop and enhance operational tools, scripts, and automation workflows using Shell or Python.
  • Monitor infrastructure health, alerts, and asset utilization, and troubleshoot networking issues including TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, and IPv6.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure operations, server operations, or data center environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills across Linux and infrastructure environments.
  • Ability to write Shell/Bash or Python scripts.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure) and automation tools (Ansible, GitLab CI/CD, Terraform, or cloud SDKs).
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, IPv6, and basic routing.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring and incident management processes.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automated provisioning and OS deployment technologies such as PXE or iPXE.
  • Familiarity with large-scale cloud fleet operations.
  • Experience supporting GPU infrastructure, firmware lifecycle management, or RDMA networking.

Salary Range

$72,960.00 - $115,200.00 USD (Salary)

Where an applicant or employee is placed on this range will depend and be contingent on objective, documented work-related considerations like education, experience, certifications, licenses, preferred qualifications, among other factors.
