Server PCBA Repair Assistant Manager / Manager_Malaysia

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Repair Manager to lead the Server PCBA repair team. This role is responsible for managing repair operations, driving root cause analysis, improving repair yield, reducing repair turnaround time, and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Test Engineering, Process Engineering, Quality, and R&D to continuously improve product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Repair Operation Management
•Lead daily PCBA repair activities to achieve production targets.
•Manage repair technicians and engineers to ensure efficient repair operations.
•Monitor repair capacity, manpower planning, and resource allocation.
•Ensure repair turnaround time (TAT) meets production requirements.

Technical Troubleshooting
•Analyze server motherboard failures using diagnostic equipment.
•Perform complex board-level troubleshooting and failure analysis.
•Support difficult repair cases beyond technician capability.
•Review repair logs and recurring failure trends.

Yield Improvement
•Drive repair yield improvement initiatives.
•Reduce repeat failures and No Trouble Found (NTF) rate.
•Monitor repair KPIs including:
-Repair Yield
-First Pass Yield (FPY)
-Repair Cycle Time
-Repair Accuracy
-Cost of Repair

Root Cause Analysis
•Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) using methodologies such as:
-8D
-Fishbone Diagram
-5 Why
-Pareto Analysis
-FMEA
•Work with PE, TE, SQE and R&D to implement corrective actions.

Process Improvement
•Improve repair SOP and troubleshooting flow.
•Optimize repair station layout and workflow.
•Introduce automation or digitalization opportunities.
•Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement projects.

Team Management
•Lead, coach and develop repair engineers and technicians.
•Conduct performance reviews and training plans.
•Build technical capability within the repair organization.

Quality & Compliance
•Ensure repair processes comply with IPC standards.
•Maintain ESD compliance.
•Support customer audits and quality audits.
•Ensure adherence to ISO quality systems.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related disciplines

Experience
•8+ years of electronics manufacturing experience
•3+ years in a supervisory or management role
•Proven experience managing a large organization or team of more than 50 employees.
•Overseas work experience
•Experience in Server, Storage or Networking products preferred
•Experience in Server PCBA repair operations
•Experience in SMT and backend manufacturing preferred
