Server Repair
Summary
The Server Repair Technician will be responsible for testing, trouble shooting, and replacement of parts on servers sent for diagnosis, assembly, disassembly, and repair.
Summary
Daily Responsibilities: 90% troubleshooting
- Inspect, test, and diagnose servers
- Replace parts as needed
- Conduct and analyze server stress tests
- Document all symptoms, test results, and parts replaced in shop floor tool
- Collaborate with motherboard repair, motherboard testing, QC, and inspections personnel
- Provide back up for QC, inspection, and motherboard testing
- Maintain parts consumption
- Other duties as assigned by leadership
Team building & leadership: 10%
- Maintain and nurture positive work environment
- Work and collaborate with other teams such as warehouse, shipping, receiving, etc.
- Follow process for system and parts managements
Other Personal Skills Required
- Know basic server architecture
- Know how to assemble components to make server functional
- Run and understand testing diagnostics
- Understand basic networking architecture
- Understand basic error codes
- Able to trouble shoot common server errors and issues
- Motivated to solve problems
- Interested in constantly learning about servers and networking
Shift:
Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM- 4:30 PM or 6:45 AM- 3:15 PM. (1ST shift)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour (1st shift)
Pay: $17.50 per hour (Mid-shift) --> 12:30 PM- 9:00 PM.
Pay: $18.00 per hour (2nd Shift). Must be available to work for 1st shift for 1-3 weeks, then get transferred to 2nd shift.
Expected hours: 40 per week (Overtime is mandatory)
Schedule:
- 8-10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
