As a Server/Bartender at Hotel Zoso, you will provide engaging, attentive food and beverage service while creating a welcoming experience for every guest. What Success Looks Like
Your Impact

Welcome guests, take food and beverage orders, answer questions, and provide thoughtful recommendations based on menu offerings and guest preferences.
Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, nonalcoholic beverages, and food items accurately and efficiently according to established recipes, presentation standards, portion controls, and service procedures.
Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, ingredients, allergens, menu changes, promotions, daily specials, and unavailable items.
Enter orders accurately into the point-of-sale system and clearly communicate special requests, dietary needs, and modifications to the culinary team.
Ensure food and beverages are attractively presented and served promptly at the appropriate temperature.
Process cash, credit-card, room-charge, and gratuity transactions accurately using established accounting and cash-handling procedures.
Verify identification, monitor alcohol consumption, recognize signs of intoxication, and follow all responsible-beverage-service requirements.
Set up and stock bar and service areas with liquor, beer, wine, ice, glassware, garnishes, mixers, utensils, and other supplies; monitor inventory and communicate shortages.
Prepare garnishes, mixers, juices, and other ingredients needed for beverage service.
Maintain clean, sanitary, safe, and organized bar, dining, guest-service, storage, and work areas throughout the shift.
Complete all opening, ongoing, and closing side work, including stocking, cleaning, removing trash and recycling, securing products, and preparing service areas for the next shift.
Accurately document spills, waste, complimentary items, voids, and product transfers.
Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, barbacks, bussers, culinary and banquet team members, and managers to provide timely, seamless service.
Assist with Food & Beverage and banquet setup, service, breakdown, restocking, and cleanup as business needs require.
Follow all food-safety, sanitation, liquor, cash-handling, safety, security, and company procedures.

What You Bring

Must be at least 21 years of age.
At least one year of related serving and/or bartending education, training, or experience preferred.
Working knowledge of food and beverage service procedures, spirits, beer, wine, cocktails, bar equipment, liquor laws, and responsible alcohol service.
Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale system and accurately process guest payments.
Strong guest-service, communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to anticipate guest needs and identify appropriate opportunities to recommend or upsell food and beverage offerings.
Ability to remain composed, attentive, and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and to bend, reach, lift, carry, push, and pull supplies and equipment associated with food and beverage service.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and property events based on business needs.
A valid Riverside County Food Handler Certificate and California Responsible Beverage Service certification are required. If not currently certified, the company will cover the certification fees and provide paid time to complete the training.
