Service & Application Engineer

Role Overview
The Service & Application Engineer provides technical support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and training for ficonTEC automation equipment. This role focuses on optimizing machine performance, supporting customers through installation and post-sales service, and ensuring high customer satisfaction through professional and efficient technical solutions.

Job Description
•Support the Taiwanese customer base for all pre and post sales needs.
•Support the Taiwanese Application Lab.
•Support and train team members to keep ficonTEC Taiwan Sales and Service Engineers up to date with Photonics Assembly, Packaging and Testing technologies.
•Able to work in a clean room environment while wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit.
•Perform PCM and Digital Twin training courses for ficonTEC customers.
•Organize and document service reports, improvement plans, and future customer needs.

Requirement
•5+ years of experience in semiconductor testing, process automation, or related engineering fields.
•Strong knowledge of mechanical design, automation equipment, motion control, and machine vision systems.
•Proficient in CAD/SolidWorks, GD&T, and equipment programming.
•Experience with photonic devices, active alignment, and optical packaging processes is preferred.
•Familiarity with LEAN, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, DFM, and FMEA methodologies for quality and process improvement.
•Working proficiency in English, with strong communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
•Willingness to work extensively at customer sites , participate in overseas training(Germany, Singapore, etc), and collaborate within a global team environment.
