Job Summary
Provide value-added technical and service support throughout sales and project lifecycles by selecting, integrating, and maintaining instrumentation, automation, and valve solutions. Serve as the technical focal point for VAG valves and drive skid-based solutions showcasing GF’s capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue commercial proposals in SAP, including pricing and discount considerations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project requirements
- Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation to validate product suitability and support proposal development
- Perform technical sizing and selection of products to meet customer and project needs before submission
- Track and analyse quotation status and outcomes to improve conversion rates
- Support Key Account Managers with tender submissions and technical documentation preparation
- Respond promptly and professionally to technical and commercial customer enquiries
- Clarify and verify technical requirements against RFQs and project specifications to ensure solution alignment
- Propose suitable technical solutions and alternatives tailored to customer needs
- Coordinate with internal specialists to address complex technical requirements
- Act as subject matter expert and technical focal point for VAG valves, automation components, and instrumentation
- Advise on materials compatibility, pressure ratings, and application suitability for water, wastewater, industrial, and infrastructure projects
- Review and interpret datasheets, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure correct product selection
- Escalate complex engineering queries to appropriate teams as needed
- Support design, integration, and deployment of skid solutions incorporating GF instruments such as flow, pH, and conductivity sensors
- Demonstrate system-level value propositions in flow and liquid analysis to customers
- Conduct on-site commissioning, testing (including liquid analysis), troubleshooting, and service delivery to ensure high-quality execution and customer satisfaction
- Assist Key Account Managers in project discussions, tender coordination, and aligning technical requirements, specifications, and timelines across stakeholders
- Provide commercial documentation and reporting to customers as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Electronic Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in M&E consulting, OEM, EPC, or similar industries
- Knowledge of measurement and control systems including flow, pH, conductivity, and liquid analysis
- Experience with actuated valves (pneumatic and/or electric)
- Experience in field servicing, commissioning, and project execution
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Exposure to or willingness to develop expertise in GF and affiliated company products and applications
- Familiarity with skid systems or integrated solutions
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to effectively collaborate with customers and internal teams
